Intervention with Drip-Painting Drone, Andres Wanner, 2014/15 Signature Strokes are short performative interventions in which a remotely controlled drone drip-paints patterns on the ground.
The title is a play on “signature strikes” – drone killings based on suspicious behavioural patterns thought to be “signatures” of terrorists. In this case, the floatating mechanism of the drone gives rise to a unique cyborganic handwriting. |
